Breaking news: the Tony-award musical Hamilton is on its way to St. Louis during national tour 2018. This amazing announcement was made by Jeffrey Seller and the Fabulous Fox Theatre, the venue which will hold the show.
Hamilton tickets are sold like hot cakes, so not everyone will be able to visit the show in St. Louis.
A 100% chance to get tickets is a season subscription for the 2016-2017 season, which you could buy a year before. The owners may extend their subscription for the next season and guarantee themselves the seats for the St. Louis Hamilton premiere. The others have to catch the ticket before it will be sold shortly after the start of sales.
Prices for the tickets were pretty high in 2017: the cheapest ones cost for $189 and the most expensive were sold for up to $849 per seat. These figures remain valid for today.
The plot of the play tells us about the biography of Alexander Hamilton, very important political figure in the US. History. The script of the musical is based on the work of famous American writer and historian, Ron Chernow. The idea of Hamilton belongs to Lin-Manuel Miranda and was translated into deeds involving director Thomas Kail, composer Alex Lacamoire and choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler.
The story of the Founding Father is fully revealing as the performance unfolds. Initially, Alexander Hamilton was the immigrant from the West Indies but took a right-hand position of George Washington, first America’s president. Later, he became the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.
Even though the show relates to historical genre of performance arts, the musical accompaniment is replete with modern music styles such as rap, hip-hop and R&B. More traditional genres as jazz and classical Broadway melodies are also presented. All interested may purchase the Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording which contains the compositions performed on stage. The album obtained a 2016 Grammy Award.

Fabulous Fox Theatre was built in 1929 and named after William Fox. As movie-goers know,
William Fox is a founder of the Fox Film Corporation, formed in 1915. The theatre was created as a showcase of the studio’s films along with 5 other venues built in other American cities.
The theatre began operating on January 31, 1929 and became the second-largest theatre in the United States at that time. Initially, it was working only with movies and later was transformed into a performing arts venue.
It’s re-opening took place in September 1982, so in 2007 it celebrated its 25-th anniversary. The Jubilee had been accompanied by a concert of Brian Stokes Mitchell and Linda Eder.
