Gorgeous, modern and truly impressive theater. Very friendly and helpful staff. Truly classy. The only thing that kept me from giving it a five star review is the fact that the lobby is poorly laid out and causes a lot of unnecessary clustering. However, the lobby art is very fun and beautiful.

The theater is beautiful with excellent acoustics and comfortable seats. We were in Box D (it had cup holders in front of our seats!) in the center/back of the 1st balcony. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The staff assisting with directions were uniformly helpful, friendly, and concise. The "Lamb of God" performance music, soloists, instrumentalists, and Conductor filled my heart and caused my eyes to 'leak' (Marine Corps veterans don't cry). Wonderful theater! Date night took us downtown for a great dinner within easy walking distance of Eccles Theater. Chris Botti was such a great treat, but he had 5 (surprise) additional talented musical artists with him that elevated the night. We had great seats Row N in the Orchestra with no-one in front or next to us!The atmosphere by the end of the show had people on their feet moving to the music, singing along, and everybody had big smiles on their faces. Great temp inside the auditorium, comfortable seats, and of course a sound system that only enhanced the experience. Look forward to seeing him again in the future.

We have come here three times, twice with front-row seats and once way up in the nosebleeds, and it was an incredible experience every time. Even with a ton of attendees, it hasn't felt cramped or overcrowded. The only downside is that you need to get there very early to get a good parking spot at the nearby garage. The one time we didn't get a good spot, it took us a whole hour just to get out of the garage. They have concessions and bathrooms, the building is beautiful and feels very classy. While the seats aren't terribly comfortable, they didn't detract from the performances.

Spectacular staff, very friendly and helpful. We saw Hamilton on closing day, it was sold out but getting in and out of the venue was very quick, easy, and orderly. The musical itself was spectacular, a true pleasure to see high production value and incredible acting in person. I'll be keeping my eye out for more events in the future.

Enjoyable venue. Every seat in the house is a good seat. Excellent ushers and staff. Only thing to make it better is to get rid of masks. Overall I'll always go back for a show I like, no hesitation

This place is top notch! I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. The sound system is tuned correctly and the volume is perfect. I hope to see many more shows here. The upper balconies r some really cool seats!

We saw Hamilton and we're very impressed by the quality of the venue. The seating arrangements are perfect, no one is directly in front of you. The sounds is great. Very intimate. People are friendly. My only complaint is the bathroom situation, not enough of them and intermission is a hot mess. Pro tip, park at city Creek and not behind the theater. The line to get in the parking lot was long and can't imagine the exit. City Creek parking was a breeze in and out from the state side.

Eccles theater is the big step in Utah becoming a place that theater will come to. We have a great crowd that loves the theater and the technology/capabilities of the Eccles exceed much of which is available elsewhere. Not to mention the fantastic acoustic of the theater.Kudos to Utah for making this a desirable place for such talent. I'm excited too see this venue grow and develope over the years. More acts will come and the theater will refine itself in the future. My only complaint is the structure of the building itself, where there are only two staircases that reach to the top floor. So people on the top must wait for every floor beneath them to empty before exiting the venue. Add some more stairs and remove the Zion's ceiling

Not a bad seat in the house! The staff were accommodating and so friendly! The show (Jason Mraz) was wonderful. We would love to have season passes, so we'll definitely look into that when they become available. I seriously can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone is so great!

It's a beautiful facility but I want to kick myself whenever I skimp on price. So many of the seats feel like you're too far away. I could still hear fine and see okay. The performances we've seen there have been spectacular. I just want to be closer and see MORE.

Been here twice for concerts, it’s a really nice venue. There was $5 parking in the garage and right across the street which is really nice. You can usually buy some refreshments. I’ve enjoyed both times I came here

Beautiful theater and lighting, we sat in row B for the Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular. Looking at the seating, I don't think you can make a wrong choice as they have a really good layout for their seating arrangements. Seating is easy to understand but the Event staff is happy to help you find your seats if you need it, they were all very kind.Parking was decent, we parked down the street a little bit so it wasn't a long walk to the venue. Will be glad to visit again!

Wow, what an experience. Beautiful building, amazing productions. One of Utah's numerous art and theater offerings. The staff was friendly and made our experience the best. Worth going to check out and have a date night. What could be better than getting dressed up a bit and having an amazing evening of culture, and then enjoy a stroll around beautiful downtown Salt Lake City...

It was my first visit back since Covid hit in early 2020. Wearing masks was enforced and signs were everywhere to ensure compliance, as well as having masks available at the entrances for those that didn't have one. The staff is always very nice and professional. I always enjoy going to Eccles. 🙂

The Eccles Theater is a first class place. Clean and well ran. Plenty of employees on staff to make sure patrons are cared for. The Theater is magical inside. Made my wife feel special which makes me very happy. Go on line and choose something to go see and then make it happen. Can't wait for our next show!

Beautiful theater with ample seating. The staff is very well informed and guide you quickly to where you're seated. The usher was very kind and quick to intervene with people trying to use their phone during the performance. Parking is available for cheap just across the street at the city creek complex. If you go straight up the escalators it will spit you out in the middle of the food court and you can exit the mall and walk directly across to the theater from there.

What can I say about this incredible theater? I want to move in and live here, it's magical! There really isn't a bad seat in the house, and I've sat on the very top back row - it's up there (obviously there are better seats) but the way the seats are all elevated your view doesn't get blocked. The seats are soft, wide, and comfortable. The celing is my favorite part, it has beautiful sparkly star lights! The acoustics are excellent. The bathrooms are great. The only complaint is that maybe the halls and common areas are narrow so it does get quite crowded before, at intermission, and after the show.

Love coming here. Whether it's Broadway, comedy shows or concerts the experience is always great. The theater is gorgeous, and we love the starry look of the ceiling.

Beautiful theatre. Tier 3 Deck has an amazing view of the street below. Box seats do not mean they are great seats. Be warned though it has many "Norman" doors. The designers skimped on the doors.

Sound system was amazing!!! We saw Little Big Town there. We had box seats in row J. The chairs are just slightly padded chairs (you can move them, they are not bolted to the floor), but we found them to be uncomfortable for a long period of time. That's my only complaint. They also required negative covid test or proof of vaccine to enter (Sept 2021).
22:17 25 Aug 21
Absolutely the best venue for live performances. Wonderful acoustics and stage visibility from any seat in the house. My favorite venue.
01:33 24 Aug 21
I saw both Hamilton in 2018 and Wicked in 2019 here and both experiences were MAGICAL. I loved the lighting on the ceiling, and the productions were beautiful and I'm so lucky to say that I got to see two musicals here. I would recommend this theater to anyone who has the opportunity to go because it is incredible!

The Eccles Theater was a fabulous venue! The stage, the seating, the sound. It was better than I expected. We were seated in the first balcony and were able to see the whole stage at once.
14:27 13 Aug 21
Absolutely a beautiful building the concerts here sound great. The staff is very helpful. I wish the Tin Angel would have been up and running but that's ok. (Resterant in the Eccles lobby) All in all a classy place.

We enjoyed the Shen Yun production a lot. The costumes were wonderful and the dances engaging. I'm not giving 5 stars because the theater seemed small and the seats were such that the lady in front of my had her hair piled high on her head and it completely blocked my view. I had to sit askew through the whole performance.
14:38 10 Aug 21
This is my 1st time at this theater and it is absolutely gorgeous! Also appreciate that 1 can have Drinks and a snack at one's seat. Also has extremely convenient parking That is very reasonably priced and within a one block walk.
04:16 04 Aug 21
I completely love it here. Every musical I have seen at this theater has completely blown me away! There is one performance that felt just a little extra magical in my opinion. If you get the chance to attend the showing of Lion King here, you won’t be disappointed.

Really great theater! Seats are pretty comfortable. The rows are close together, so it might be uncomfortable for people with long legs. The lobby and theater seating area is kept clean, and the bathrooms are pretty nice. I would definitely recommend visiting if there is a play being shown you wanna see.

Absolutely beautiful venue! I worked a concert here and thought all the employees were so kind and helpful. It was a very clean, nice facility. I couldn't get enough of the view from the stage. Stunning!!

The facility is incredible. That in and of itself deserves a shining review. However in this for him I would like to share my experience as it relates to the people. The packhouse would be the norm with such talent. However, because of regulations that can't happen. I did however notice that the audience that was there took it upon themselves make up for the difference have those who couldn't attend. I believe they were more attentive. More polite, and exuberant. Just let the performers know appreciation was still there and real even if not in its usual format. The sentiment was felt from the ushers to the workers and ultimately the performers. We didn't lose the energy pent up in these performers we just get to enjoy it more intensely when we can. Give it a try see if you feel the difference. Those were there truly want to be there. Deadwood and bring alongs didn't add to the experience in the past.
