Written by famous actor and producer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton musical acquired a phenomenally good reputation among theater-goers. No prizes for guessing that the plot revolves around the Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who also served as the first US Secretary of the Treasury under the president George Washington. Miranda’s story tells us about his ascension path from an average man from West Indies to a critical political figure in the country.
A musical score for the performance represents itself a nice blend of hip-hop, R&B, jazz as well as traditional Broadway melodies. Today’s Hamilton is fully adapted to a new generation of Americans and attracts the attention of the population groups which don’t usually enjoy Broadway musicals.
The performance got 11 Tony’s and 2016 Grammy for the Best Musical Theatre Album. Even though 3 years have passed since the premiere of the show, it is still rapidly growing in popularity. One of the symbolic events was a performance held at the White House, where both Lin-Manuel Miranda and then President Barack Obama were freestyling upfront of the audience.
The show takes place at Smith Theatre: 1409, 361 Symphony Park Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Average start time: Monday-Friday – 7:30 PM, Saturday-Sunday – 2:00 or 7:30 PM.

About Smith Theatre in Las Vegas
The Smith Center for the Performance Arts opened on March 10, 2012, is more than just a theater. It consists of three theaters and covers an area of 5 acres. It was built and designed by David M. Schwarz in the neo-art deco style, so that’s why the center resembles the Hoover Dam located nearby and the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. What’s even more interesting is that on the territory of the center you can see a 17-story carillon tower containing 47 bells.
This is the first US theater which was certified by Gold LEED. It is a home venue for the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada Ballet Theatre as well as a “guest house” for a variety of music bands, ensembles, theater and dance groups.
